ROLE OF THE JOB

We are looking for a Business Support Assistant to join our Bereavement Services Team based at the Cowpen Cemetery and Crematorium Office in Blyth.  This is a unique but rewarding role as it involves supporting families during an emotional time of their lives.  

The post is part of a small, exceptionally busy team who provide comprehensive admin support to the Bereavement Services function in the Southeast of the county.

We are seeking a candidate who has considerable experience in office administration, with an eye for detail as this job requires high levels of accuracy dealing with official records relating to the deceased.

The successful candidate will be able to effectively manage conflicting demands on their time and deliver exceptional customer service of a unique nature, remaining calm and logical in stressful and emotionally difficult situations.

This is a Band 4 fixed term position until 30 September 2025.

REQUIREMENTS OF THE JOB

A good general level of education demonstrating numeracy and literacy, ideally with an NVQ Level 3 or equivalent in a business-related discipline.

An active desire to provide to provide customer centered services.

Highly competent in using Microsoft Office products is essential, and experience of Oracle applications desirable.

Dependable and reliable and ability to demonstrate NCC’s values and behaviors.
