Are you passionate about tourism, business engagement, and making a real impact in one of the UK’s most iconic destinations? Visit Northumberland is looking for a dynamic Tourism Administrative and Product Development Assistant to support the growth of our vibrant visitor economy.
Based at County Hall in Morpeth, you’ll be at the heart of our partnership programme managing renewals, onboarding new partners, and supporting tourism product development across the county. From coordinating communications and events to maintaining CRM systems and assisting with securing revenue to deliver marketing activity, your work will help shape the future of tourism in Northumberland.
We’re looking for someone with a flair for relationship-building, a proactive approach to sales and service delivery, and strong administrative skills. You’ll be confident using digital tools, handling data, and working both independently and as part of a collaborative team.

REQUIREMENTS OF THE JOB
Essential
- Previous experience of sales, negotiations or persuasive communication to support the administration of Visit Northumberland partnership scheme retention, renewal, and recruitment process, ensuring prompt and accurate responses.
- Ability to organise self and work without constant supervision to assist with budget and project planning, tracking progress to achieve business goals.
Desirable
- Experience of working in travel and tourism to support product development activity collaborating with colleagues and external businesses to grow the Visit Northumberland partner base and experience development to meet service standards.
- Understanding of business-to-business communication channels and social media techniques to maintain accurate CRM and management information systems to support service delivery.
